The 27 mental health experts who wrote the book The Dangerous Case of Donald Trump generally agree that Donald Trump suffers from Malignant Narcissism. This mental illness can roughly be thought of as a combination of narcissistic personality disorder and antisocial personality disorder with sadism and paranoia added.
Malignant narcissism does not adequately explain why Donald Trump incessantly finds faults in others resulting in relationship problems or his uncontrolled anger. These are the two diagnostic traits that best distinguish Borderline Personality Disorder (also called Emotionally Unstable Personality Disorder) from the other personality disorders. Thus the best explanation for how Donald Trump’s mind works appears to be the combination of these three mental illnesses:
(1) Narcissistic Personality Disorder
(2) Antisocial Personality Disorder
(3) Borderline Personality Disorder
The resulting fruits of this mix of mental illnesses seems to be on displayed daily. While most mentally ill individuals do not exhibit extreme symptoms of their disease to the detriment of others, Donald Trump sadly appears to.
How long will it take for Congress/Vice-President/Cabinet to recognize the probability of Donald Trump’s mental illness and protect America from this toxic witches brew of psychologic pathology?
